Not to repeatedly change their bank details on the SRD website Sassa say

A reminder was sent by Sassa, which manages the Social Relief of Distress Grant and many other grants, to SRD beneficiaries not to continually change their bank details.

It is possible that payments may be delayed due to the verification process for the new account.

It is also recommended that clients don’t change their bank details repeatedly on the SRD website, as each time a change is made, the account will have to be verified- which may delay payment.

Other Causes of Delay in SRD Payments

The following are some of the causes of delay for the SRD payments:

Incorrect name and or surname

Payments may be delayed if the client’s details on the SRD system do not match those on the Home Affairs database. In the SRD system, beneficiaries must enter the correct information.

Incorrect Banking Details

If the beneficiary’s banking details are incorrect, Sassa will not be able to process the funds. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that their banking information is correct on the system.
