NSFAS Applications Are Now Open 2023

Application for the 2023 academic year has been officially opened by the National Student Financial Aid Student (NSFAS). More details about the newly introduced changes to the bursary scheme’s application process can be found here.

According to Blade Nzimande, Minister of Higher Education, the application window for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) for 2023 has officially opened. During the current academic year, the minister also provided an update on how the bursary has helped students.

In order to give applicants enough time to submit applications and their supporting documentation, Nsfas will begin accepting applications earlier this year.

In addition, Nzimande said the department has developed various changes to make the process of applying for student funding more convenient for applicants.

There have been enhancements to the NSFAS application system to make it more similar to other application systems prospective students use.Using these changes, you can now stop and resume the application process at a later time without starting from scratch.

Submit NSFAS Applications Online

Applications for NSFAS can be submitted online through myNSFAS. As well as mobile apps, a USSD code, and WhatsApp, Nsfas has established additional application channels. On these platforms, applicants will have the option of tracking their applications as well as cancelling them. Moreover, NSFAS will launch an outreach campaign to ensure that applicants without access to technology can still apply.
