The following grants are available: Disability grant, Older persons grant, War veteran’s grant, Foster child grant, Care dependency grant, Child support grant, and Grant-in-aid.

Social Relief of Distress Grant 

A social assistant can be in the form of money or food or any other good in the case of other disasters such as pandemics or diseases like covid-19. As we have seen during the Covid19 pandemic, SASSA may also provide Social Relief or Distress Grants.

Where can you withdraw SASSA grant money

There is no need for clients to withdraw all their money at once; clients can withdraw their money at the ATMs and retailers supermarkets, such as Boxer, Shoprite, Pick n Pay, and Usave. You can use your SASSA card as a debit card.
