Get Track Your Sassa Grant Application For August 2023

South Africans who struggle to make ends meet due to a lack of financial support are likely to have applied for a permanent social grant. Tracking grant application feedback is just as important, and this is what we will guide you through.

SASSA Grants

Social grants are essential to the livelihood of South Africans without any alternative source of income. South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) administers these grants, which include:

  • The Old Persons Grant,

  • Disability Grant,

  • Care Dependency Grant,

  • Social Relief of Distress Grant,

  • War Veterans Grant,

  • Foster Child Grant,

  • Child Support Grant

  • A Grant-in-aid.

It is crucial that you meet the eligibility requirements of your preferred social grant before applying. This is primarily due to the fact that these grants are specifically intended for low-income individuals. You will be subject to a means test by Sassa to ensure this is the case.

You will also have to submit supporting documents with your grant application, depending on the grant you are applying for. The Foster Child Grant, however, is paid out when a court order is issued.
