The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect many South Africans as we approach the middle of 2023. Up-To-Date SASSA SRD R350 Grant Information for May 2023

During a pandemic, unemployed or unable-to-work individuals can apply for the SRD R350 grant to provide them with financial relief. Grants have provided a lifeline to many South Africans who have struggled to make ends meet.

SRD R350 grants for May 2023 will be available within a few weeks as the April 2023 module has been completed. Grant payments will be made to eligible applicants in the near future. The May 2023 module does not require existing applicants to reconfirm their eligibility or reapply. Payments for May 2023 will be automatic if you have been approved for the previous modules.

The April 2023 module still offers an appeal opportunity for those who were declined. In response to our previous module’s denials, SASSA has provided an appeals link. Visit https://srd.dsd.gov.za/appeals/appeal for more information. A review of your case can be conducted if you believe you were wrongly declined.
