Over 1 Million Applicants of SASSA SRD Approved But No Payment here is why

As South Africa’s economy is struggling and vulnerable populations are being affected by the pandemic, this is a worrying development.

Some of these approved applicants have been given pay dates, while others have not been notified when they will be paid. Families relying on the SRD R350 grant for survival have been left in a desperate situation.

Many vulnerable South Africans have been impacted by the pandemic and the SRD R350 grant is a crucial lifeline. As a result of the pandemic, many approved applicants have not yet received payment for this grant, which is meant to provide temporary financial relief.

Please prioritize payment of approved applicants and provide regular updates on the payment process to SASSA and other Civil Societies. As a matter of urgency, we also urge the government to provide additional resources and support to expedite the payment process.
