Sassa Says There Is No Money To Pay Grants

There is an escalating crisis regarding the South African Social Security Agency’s (SASSA’s) inability to pay social grants, according to the Democratic Alliance (DA).

Anc Plans To Stop Social Grants In March 2024

Since November 2022, vulnerable beneficiaries of Child Support Grants, Old Age Pensions, and Disability Grants have increasingly been turned away from SASSA pay points.

Da Says Anc Will Start Load Shedding Social Grants

“The recently published budget reveals that the ANC plans to start load shedding the social grants that impoverished people rely on to survive in the 2024/2025 financial year, which starts on 1 March 2024.”

According to Masango, the ANC government indicates on page 35 of the 2023 budget review that it will abolish the social relief of distress grant entirely by 1 March 2024.

According to the DA, SASSA social grants will be cut as a result of the ANC’s financial crisis.As of 1 March 2024, the ANC will begin load shedding your social grants.

Our country could plunge into chaos if the ANC takes away social grants. A total of 18 million South Africans rely on social contributions to support themselves and their families.

In response to the ANC’s intention to start load shedding social grants, the DA is preparing an emergency plan. The purpose of this is to ensure that social grants continue to be funded.
