What To Do About bank details pending SRD Status

Upon completing your SRD grant application and checking SASSA grant status, you might see ‘bank details pending’. Read on to learn what that means and what you should do next.

Your R350 grant application status will say ‘Bank details pending’ if your application has been received. Your bank details and payment preferences for your R350 grant have not been submitted.

So what do you need to do then?

All you need to do is submit your banking details using the SASSA SRD website. Here’s how:

  1. Go to srd.sassa.gov.za
  2. Submit your ID Number.
  3. An SMS containing a secure link will be sent to the mobile phone number with which you registered during application.
  4. Click on the link in the SMS and follow the instructions carefully.

You can pay the R350 grant through a bank account, the Post Office, or by cash.
It is important to remember that there is no set payment date for SRD grants once you have been approved. SASSA has stated that if your application is approved, you will receive payment. SASSA will then send you an SMS notification of payment.

SASSA has made it easier for you to track your R350 grant application. You can check the status of your R350 grant through WhatsApp, online, or even by phone.
